If you’re wondering why I haven’t posted on here often over the last few weeks, I’ve been on holidays in New Zealand as well as doing a live recording and spending time in the studio. So it’s been pretty hectic! But, I’m back and excited to share some more guitar news and tips with everyone (as well as learning a thing or two from you)

Here is an update of what’s happening here at The Daily Guitar..

We Won An Award

This week ‘The Daily Guitar’ was awarded 1st prize in the New & Upcoming category in the 2010 Guitar Blog Awards.

The Daily Guitar was nominated by the members of the Guitar Bloggers group at Guitar World.

Comments by the award organizers were that ‘The Daily Guitar’s got a great vibe about it. Danny’s posts are fun and engaging.’ They also added that, ‘The Daily Guitar has two main goals: inspiration to practice your guitar daily, and then, to grow a community of guitarists. The Blog is filled with quirky, but inspiring news about guitars and guitar players, and then, gear reviews and tutorials.’

Our Views Have Almost Reached 10,000 Per Month

When I first started this blog I didn’t expect it to grow this quickly. It looks like we will crack the 10,000 views for the month of August. This is a real milestone for The Daily Guitar, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

We Are About To Start Selling Guitar Accessories

I’m still working on getting the right products, but hopefully within the next month, we should be able to offer our readers guitar accessories at unbelievable prices. I will let you know once these products are ready to launch.

By the way, for the launch day, we are looking to give away a whole heap of guitar strings, so keep your eyes peeled
